I was late. The rest of my fellow clubbing kakis were already inside newsroom but it was kind of sad that we had to sit at 2 different tables diagonally apart. I saw that he was at the other table. There were no more seats there. I had brought along two more friends and had to keep my friends entertained. My eyes and my heart kept drifting to the other table. I waited for him to come over to say hi. He did. But I guess he was too shy to stay put with my friends. My friends took some time to warm up and proceeded to the dance floor.
He asked me over and introduced his best friend to me. We talked only for a brief moment. But the moment we started talking, it was as if the rest of the whole had left us again. The feeling was just too difficult to put in words. They say that you know someone is interested through the body language. Our bodies were so close that I could feel his breath and heart beat. But we didn't have much time to talk. He had to entertain his friend and I had to entertain mine.
The whole night passed without further communication. I could only look at him from afar amidst the laughter from my friends and dancing bodies. I drank quite a bit.
The gang decided to go for supper. My friends left for home. I was alone again. The supper was a large group. He sat a few seats away. He was again busy entertaining his friends. I gazed at him while sipping my teh tarik quietly.
It was time to go home. My happiest moment of the night. Time alone with him. We talked and the most exciting part was when we held our breathe as we had to stop the car as there was a road block. He didn't buckle his seat belt. I quickly reached over and helped him to buckle up. Our hands touched. Luckily we passed the road block without any inspection. Haha. I joked that the two of us looked very decent. Decently dressed at least.

romantic hideout!
Went to Science Centre with slushy. Lo and behold, we didn't realise the eco garden was such a beautiful and romantic place. In the middle of the garden was a tree house! It was a childhood dream come true. I have always read about tree houses being a great hideout and there indeed is one in Singapore! I'm amazed.
Another surprise today... our photograph was captured and posted on the website! Click here and spot us!

journey home
The most enjoyable times were the time spent alone when he drove me home. It was almost too difficult to talk as our friends love noisy pubs with loud music. Home journey were the times when we talk most. And it is a good thing that his car is a 2-seater. No disturbance. And the sweetest thing, he will make sure I message him when I reach my doorstep. And of course, I also make sure he reach home safely too. And I secretly wish he would drive slower so that I can spend more time with him. Time is forever not enough.

reminiscence
It was an unforgettable night at chijmes. The live band at china jump was really amazingly and the crowd was enthralled. The music was so loud that we had to shout into each other's ears. We love music, but we soon found out that both of us very much prefer quieter places where we can have some nice chat over coffee rather than pubs. We were just being obliging to our friends who are party animals and love to drink. Very soon, we found ourselves engaging in a long conversation and soon our attention was diverted away from the rock singers and ear-piercing music. We were so engrossed with each other that our friends almost lost us. It was so funny. But time always passes too quickly in beautiful moments. I wished for time to stop. But time continued to tick away mercilessly. I shall let time decide whether there are any more episodes to this romantic encounter.

esprit de l'escalier
Definition:
witty remark or snappy retort that comes to mind after the opportunity has passed to use it
I welcome all esprit de l'escalier in my new blog! Found this interesting word to be so apt. I love this word. My word of the day.
The beauty of a blog is that you can always pen down your thoughts even though the opportunity has passed to use it. I love people who are smart and witty. Smart and witty people who visit my blog and bother to leave an esprit de l'escalier behind for remembrance sake. All are welcome.

blog name
It took me ages to crack my brain for a new blog name! Seems like most blog names are taken up! I have tried almost everything from aeriefaerie to magnetic beat to babelicious to fairygodmother to perfectionist to... I ran out of creativity and drained my brain juice for a few days! oh well...
Finally, idyllism - a new word I have created from the word idyll.
Idyll.. there is a story for this one. A couple of years ago, I was thinking of starting my own business and was thinking of a name for my business. Decided to just flip the dictionary and read the meanings to find a suitable one. Lo and behold, the page that I flipped to, idyll just stood out from the rest of the words. It was the first time I saw this word and the meaning was so apt that I decided to use it.
Now that I have decided on my blog name, I have to crack my brain to decide on the focus and purpose of this blog. Have too many things to blog!
