life is like a box of chocolates - part 1

It was my first time meeting him. I was introduced to him by Ed. He was really quiet as he listened attentively as I did the explained the details to him. He made a quick decision to take up the proposed plan. I like decisive people. It was my last appointment of the day and my face colour was drained. Without a word, he went off to buy me a hot drink which was very much appreciated. A man with initiative.

Ed invited me to go with them for a drink at their favourite hangout. I agreed reluctantly after much persuasion. Sigh. It was already 11pm and I had been out since 9am. Entertaining clients is sometimes inevitable in my line of work.

It was a small pub at Jalan Besar. It was only after we sat down for drinks that I noticed his chiselled features and slim frame. He was a quiet person. I heard someone make a comment about craving for food. Without a word, he stood up, left the pub and came back with packs of food for everyone. A generous and caring person.

He was nice enough to send me home as it was already very late. I thanked him with an sms.

Life is like a box of chocolates. You don't know what you're going to get and who you're going to meet.
