protest

When you do not have enough rest, your body will protest by breaking down. Mine did.

I must say the flu bug has become quite vicious these days. Starting with flu on Mon, it developed into fever rollercoaster on Tues and Wed. And the more tablets and pills I pop into my mouth, my gastric protest and broke down. I started to feel my gastric bloated at 10pm, though I didn't eat much the whole day.

I was still at Holland V, so I quickly walk into Cold Storage to ask for a plastic bag and held it near my mouth as I dragged my limp body to the taxi stand. Finally the taxi came and sped home. The plastic bag never left my mouth all these while. The moment I got down from the cab, I just squat at the roadside and puked. Gosh. I just stared at the lift lobby, so near yet so far.

I puked every 5 - 10 mins, since there was nothing in my stomach, what came out was only gastric juice. I couldn't even make my way back to my room! I couldn't walk more than 10 steps. At attempting to walk further, I needed to make a uturn back to the washroom to puke. My gastric was producing a lot of gas and felt so bloated it became painful. I tried to drink some water, even plain water caused me to puke again. This lasted until about 3am. My last vomit was red, yes bloody red. By that time, my throat was too painful to make any noise.

I thought I have to sleep in the toilet. I prayed very hard in my mind for healing until I finally fell asleep around 4am hungry and dehydrated. I thought I was going to die. When I finally woke up at 8am, I did not puke anymore and so glad I was still alive. I won't dare to mistreat my body anymore. Thank God for the miraculous healing!
