Pentecost Sunday

It was awesome.

Half the National Stadium is filled with Christians in Singapore, coming from different denominations and churches, for the one purpose - to pray for Singapore.

The organising committee initially planned to book the air-conditioned Indoor Stadium for this event, so that there will be shelter and will not be affected by Singapore's highly-erratic-and-unpredictable weather conditions. Fortunately, the Indoor Stadium had been booked on this day. Yes, indeed it was a fortunate event that the organisers had to book the National Stadium instead. The turnout for this event was 25,000+ fellow Christians which is more than double the 12,000 seating capacity of Singapore Indoor Stadium! Hallelujah, praise the Lord!

Reconciliation.
The pastor representing the charismatic church and the pastor representing the conservative coming together to ask each other for forgiveness for their pride and to reconcile and focus on our one Lord Jesus Christ. They sat down and took turns to wash each other's feet just as Jesus washed his disciple's feet in humility. It was a touching moment. Tears trickled down my cheeks uncontrollably.
Indeed, Christians from different denomination should have united long ago. What is the point of arguing the difference in interpretation of the bible? What is the point of arguing on the gift of tongues? Or even the style of worship? Don't we all love our Lord Jesus Christ? We believe in One God and we are One Body.

Prayer.
We pray as One People. We prayed for each other as brothers and sisters-in-Christ. We prayed in tongues and in different languages. God made it possible. The Holy Spirit moved in our midst. Praise the Lord.
It was awesome.
