identity crisis

I started off with my blogger identity as Fairy Godmother for my very first blog - The Magic Wand with a reason behind the chosen name. Somehow along the way, it became acronymed as FGM on Slushy's blog probably for convenience and laziness to type in the lengthy spelling. I didn't quite like at first, but I had since gotten used to seeing it appear ever so frequently in her blog. But acronyms, being acronyms, will remain to confuse blog readers if acronyms are not explained.

Then I modified the name into FairyGM in an attempt to shorten the spelling without creating confusion. However, I guess I ended up creating even greater confusion when I get blog fans calling me Fairy. Geez. I'm no fairy. I guess they could not figure out what GM stands for.

To the business-minded, GM probably stands for General Manager. To the family-oriented, GM probably stands for grandmother. To the web-users, GM is the country code for Gambia. To people who play chess, GM stands for Grand Master. To the sportsmen, GM is short for Gold Medal. To a doctor, GM stands for German Measles. To the terrorists, GM can be a secret code for Guided Missile. To Austin Powers, GM simply means Goldmember. Ain't that confusing?

Actually I'm very tempted to use Vit J as my new blogger identity to coincide with my MSN messenger ID. But I'm still kind of undecided.

For the time being, I guess I shall revert back to the short form of my name - Jerl. To me, that is a form of endearment and I love it when people call me Jerl. Since my blog fans are my darling sweetie pies, I think it is perfectly apt that they address me as such.
