The moment we entered the main entrance, a man-made mini waterfall gave me a pleasant warm welcome. The structure of the place was so different from the rest of the boring surroundings at Bt Batok. It was indeed a pleasant surprise to feel like being in a new place. It feels like a resort. And being there makes me feel that my boring world is out of sight and out of mind. There are a few pools - one with man-made waves, one jacuzzi pool, one kid's pool, one adult pool and slides.
Enjoyed lazing in the jacuzzi pool just chit chatting with HJ while letting the jets of water massaging our back and calves. It's a wonder we could stay at this place for 5 hours. Of course, we've applied sunblock and re-applied sunblock at intervals. Even lazing around the poolside for a nice tan is so relaxing. Been a while since I last had such a getaway.

Really wished I could get out of Singapore for a long break. Maybe a year or two. Somehow life in Singapore gets a little boring. I want to get away to somewhere else. I need a new life. Yet, I do not know exactly what I'm searching for. I'm looking for happiness. But I have no idea where happiness is.

corny but happiness is where the heart is. Where is yours - with family, friends, hobbies,etc.? I think it's good to getaway but there is no "escape" in every sense of the word. THe pasture is always greener on the other side and being a tourist is not the same as being a local.
