Okie.. move on to yak about happier things to remember for the day...
Met up with my primary school classmates and teacher. Haven't seen some of them in a couple of years... We had a great time reminiscing on the good old days... Time really flies.. Almost 2 decades passed just like that...
After the wedding lunch, everyone else seemed to have their own programmes planned and rushed off, leaving me and Leon. Thought we all could catch up for a while more, but some of them have their own families or going to meet gf or bf... oh well...
Took a walk down to Borders as Leon wanted to stock up more books to satisfy his voracious reading appetite. I succumbed to my shopaholic addiction and ended up with 3 books.
Leon's a funny guy. We were never close and hardly spoke at school even though we were in the same class for 3 years. In fact, we were at mild loggerheads in school. The times we ever spoke were probably arguments about some discussion issues, at least that was what I remembered of him - very outspoken with strong opinions. He has a very good command of English as he reads a lot even as a kid, he finished the whole series of Hardy boys!
As we spend time to catch up with each other, it felt very comfortable and it's like a friendship revived. There is a sweet newness in this friendship as we discover that actually both of us refused to read Harry Potter and sighed as we passed by the many witchcraft books that adorned the Kid's Section. I'll be discussing more on this issue in another separate post. It's just depressing to see evil slowly creeping into the minds of the little ones. We knew that the devil is at work really hard. We really need to keep reminding ourselves to walk right in the Lord.
The combination of intellect, wit and humour in a conversation partner always makes sparks fly. I have a feeling that we will became very close friends. Happy moments and time always passes so quickly. It just leaves me wondering whether it was intentional or unintentional that he took a very long route to send me home. Hmm...

It's always nice to make a new friend, and finding someone we can click with so immediately is not easy.
I remember reading the Famous Five. Finished the 21 books my cousin had. Don't think even he had read all of them. ;p
What books did you buy? u didn't share. How about him? do you think reading lists tell us more about people? I've been reading junk lately! ;p
He bought all sci-fiction books! I bought those with pretty covers as usual...
