blogs makes the world go round

Many thanks to Ms Kam Choo Choo for making reference to my blog on her recent post on What is this Life full of Computers? After reading her profile, I gathered that this talented writer of The Oriental Express blog was a retired teacher at ACS (please correct me if I'm wrong). I have senior teacher reading my blog! Ain't it cool?

Reading on, I found her to be a fellow toastmaster too! And she's completed the same project 5 on body language as me! To add on, the famous violinist Kam Ning is her niece! That's like super duper cool! I simply can't stop myself from "wow-ing" while reading her blog. Think I've "wowed" at least 20 times through her blog in a short span of 5 minutes!

Wow... this is how the World Wide Web connects strangers. Indeed strangers are friends you have yet to meet! Somehow I always get very excited to know fellow bloggers. They are an intelligent and inspiring bunch of people who bother to blog down their feelings and thoughts.

Yeah!!! I've a new blog to stalk - The Oriental Express. Check it out!

*jumping up and down in joy*

Ni tai guo jiang ah!

I used to teach in River Valley High and ACS until I lost my voice.

I gather you're a musician too. You play the violin and piano?

Are you competing in the forthcoming speech contest. Which TMC are you in ? I am with the Dennis Wee Toastmasters' Club as I am also an agent with DW.

All the best in your TM speeches!

the oriental express: Hi Ms Kam!

Yes I'm a musician too. Yes violin and piano but I'm quite lousy.

I'm with Buona Vista CC Toastmasters Club (near holland village). We meet on the first Thursday of the month at 7.30pm. Drop me a mail if you are visiting?

All the best too and hope to see you some day!

Will try and visit .... maybe after my trip to Kuching .... around mid October onwards.

Are you rep. your club for the humorous speech contest Jerl?

Ms Kam: Sure! Enjoy your trip to Kuching!

Nope I'm not representing my club. Was disqualified as I overshot the time. Hee...

Jerly, if you have time, I would like to invite you to our DW toastmasters' meeting on 18th (Monday) of this month. We start at about 7.15p.m. Refreshment is around 8.30p.m. Some clubs have light makan at the beginning but ours is in the middle.

I am making my signature dish... Penang Fried Koay Teow and another one more dish...(I used to run Rialto Italian Cuisine).

Will be presenting my humorous speech to my club members and Abigail Chay will also be there to talk about injecting humour in one's speech for about 30 minutes. She is a great personality! Warm, funny and natural! You will enjoy yourself.
Please let me know if you are coming.

Cheers.
