blue mood

I have so much to do, but so little time. Cliché as it may sound but I find this phrase so so true. So much so that I begin to hate sleeping. I think sleeping is such a waste of time.

On the other hand, sleep is essential for the body to rest, recuperate, renew, replenish. I have been so deprived of sleep these days that my body is starting to protest. As I'm typing out my post now, I can feel my body losing most of the body heat even though I'm clad in track pants and trench coat. I'm freezing! I can feel myself falling sick as my nasal passage feels as dry as parchment paper. My toes numbed with coldness.

The thing I need to do now is to crawl under my thick blankie. Then again, I dread the ice-cold bedsheets that will numb my body further. Gosh. I hate cold and wet weather. I miss the sun.

Do get sufficient sleep!

There is a saying in mandarin,

"休息是让我们能够走更长的路"

Rest is to allow us to walk a longer journey. As you observed, our body protests against the overuse by falling apart, i.e. we get coughs, colds, flus much easier and our resistance goes down.

Do cater sufficient time to sleep and even nap if you can. When you are rested you are more efficient, productive and effective!

God bless!

Sleep is always very nice and extra deep when we are sick. So sleep it out! Medicine without rest is not enough to get better.
