what are you telling yourself today?

"Human beings, by changing the inner attitudes of their minds,

can change the outer aspects of their lives." ~ William James

Have you seen the breathtaking pillars in Mammoth Cave in Kentucky? Those enormous "icicles of stone" have taken centuries to form. A single drop of water finds its way through the roof of the cave to deposit its tiny sediment on the floor of the cave. Another drop follows, and still another, until a marble-like finger begins to grow upward. The result is a tremendously solid pillar after years of accumulation.

Self-talk shapes your life in much the same way. What you are is the result of the many accumulated statements you have made and continue to make with your self-talk.
What have you told yourself today? What conversation has gone on in your head or been spoken aloud?

Thoughts are powerful. Positive thoughts as well as negative thoughts. They are equally powerful. So take charge of your thoughts today. They are yours to control. Monitor what you are telling yourself. Positive self-talk can make you soar, negative ones can make you plunge. Decide for yourself today whether you want to be an eagle soaring into the clouds or you just want to be that raindrop, fate decided by the strength and direction of the wind.

Be that eagle!!! Do not belittle your wings. Do not despise your hollow bones. They are there for a reason. They are that so that you can soar into the blue blue sky. So, tell yourself that you are that eagle. You can fly. You can achieve what you have set out to do. Aim for the sky and the world is yours.

Let the little droplets of positive self-talk deposit day by day into your mind and let your confidence grow into that majestic icicle!
