Halfway through his meal, he suddenly grabbed my hand. I thought he had something to tell me, so I leaned closer and positioned my ear next to his mouth. To my surprise, he gave me a peck on my cheek! This gesture of affection sent such joy to my heart. That was little Maverick, LiLing's 3-year-old nephew.That's the way little children show their love for you - without any hesitation, without any pretence. Little children are just so expressive in their love language, so generous to shower you with hugs and kisses. I am touched by Maverick's way of loving me. When it was time to say goodbye, he hugged me so tightly and refused to let go of my hand.
Somehow, this incident reminded me of how God loves us - so unconditionally, so abundantly, so generous. And how joyful our Father in heaven will be, only if we respond to love him back in little ways - spending time with Him, talking to Him, singing to Him.
