a bad fall

Thank God I survived falling down a whole flight of stairs last Friday evening.

It was raining cats and dogs. I was helping out with wedding decoration for a friend's friend at St Theresas Church. The entrance was adorned with a beautiful and dangerous flight of marble stairway that leads to the carpark. The heavy rain made the stairs really slippery and it didn't help that I was in a pair of slippers with worn out soles and exhausted after doing 9 hours of floral arrangement.

Although I have difficulty walking around right now with pain throughout the lower half of my body, I thank God that I didn't hurt my spine when I fell. Neither did I sprain my ankle. It was really the Lord's protection and miracle that I was adorned in a pair of denim jeans as I seldom wore jeans. This is probably the only time I will thank God for adequate fats in my butt to cushion my fall. Though my butt is now purple and badly bruised all over, nevertheless, I thank God that I survived the fall. I could not imagine what would be the outcome if I were any skinnier.

If I had injured my spine, I might become disabled. If I had hit the back of my head, I might become blind. If I had broke my neck, I might just kick the bucket and probably be holding my funeral party now.

So my friends, do check my blog once in a while and if I haven't been blogging for a long time, I'll appreciate a prayer for me. Thanks ya.
